The former NFL player, 37, reposted golfer Jack Nicklaus’s letter in support of Trump that described how “disappointed” he had become at the criticism the current president has faced.
“Never a doubt,” he captioned the post.
Nicklaus writes, “He has delivered on his promises. He’s worked for the average person. In my opinion, he has been more diverse than any President I have seen and has tried to help people from all walks of life — equally.”
This is not the first time Cutler has shown his support for Trump. After the 2016 election, he said he was “happy with the results.”
“I’ve supported Trump for a while. I’m not going to dive into it. I know it’s a sensitive issue, [but] I like where it’s going,” he said.
Cavallari, 33, has not responded to her ex-husband’s endorsement. Fox Nation presenter Tomi Lahren, who was once rumoured to have been dating the former Chicago Bears player, responded in the comments, writing, “Freedom over everything.”
Nicklaus’ letter continues, encouraging everyone to look past Trump’s incessant tweeting and that “his love for America and its citizens, and putting his country first, has come through loud and clear.
“How he has said it has not been important to me. What has been important are his actions. Now you have the opportunity to take action.”
Amid their split, which was announced in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, it has been revealed that Cutler and Cavallari will be spending the Thanksgiving together with their three kids: sons Camden, eight, and Jaxon, six, and daughter Saylor, four.
“I’m actually gonna be spending it just with my kids and Jay Cutler as a family. So, I’m looking forward to that,” Cavallari told Us Weekly. “Jay and I were discussing the menu together yesterday, and he’ll be on meat duty. I think he’s gonna fry a turkey and smoke a lamb leg, and then I’m gonna do everything else.
“I’m happy that we’re able to spend it together and have these conversations even though we’re in the middle of getting a divorce. So, I’m thankful for where we’re currently at.”
