Khloé Kardashian‘s team is working overtime to get an unwanted photo of her deleted from the internet.
A supposedly unedited photo of the reality star was reportedly released this week without her approval, and now she wants all entertainment sites that shared the image to take it down. According to Page Six, Kardashian has even called in the lawyers to ensure her request is met.
“The colour edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant,” Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, said in a statement obtained by the outlet.
“Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.”
There are currently no traces of the image left online but according to Page Six, the image is authentic and shows Kardashian wearing a leopard-print bikini with her hair in a ponytail. The photo is believed to have been taken poolside at her mum Kris Jenner’s home in Palm Springs, where the family are currently spending the Easter holidays.
In recent months, Kardashian has come under fire from critics for allegedly altering her social-media photos, with many claiming her face is ever-changing.
Speculation about the star overusing photoshop and having surgery have also been floated online, forcing Kardashian to defend herself on numerous occasions.
“Sometimes I wonder why people comment if it adds no value to ones life?” she once wrote on Instagram. “Maybe i’m just different… but I don’t care to be negative or passive aggressive. Our world is toxic enough as it is. It’s sad to care to criticize something like an editing app.”
Last month, she also said criticism about her looks had hurt her “soul and confidence”.
