Jojo Macari is returning for Season 3 of Sex Education.
The Netflix drama has recently wrapped filming on the new series in South Wales and Macari, who plays Kyle, reluctantly reveals he’s been a part of it.
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to speak about that or not,” he tells 9Honey Celebrity before admitting, “I am still doing Sex Education, I’ll say that.
“That’s all I’m saying though,” he says, hinting at an expanded role in the upcoming season.
In between appearances in Sex Education though, Macari has been keeping busy with a new Netflix series, The Irregulars.
Taking a paranormal twist on the old Sherlock Holmes story, the supernatural series follows teens in Victorian London as they help Holmes and Dr Watson solve mysteries.
Macari plays Billy — a character who is a far cry from Kyle.
“Billy I feel like he’s a character that weirdly I’m much more drawn to naturally,” he tells 9Honey Celebrity.
“I feel like that’s a character, sort of grumpy, angry, toxic masculinity kid is a part that I really loved playing — he was a challenge and something totally different but I really enjoyed it.
“Whereas farting, weed-smoking Kyle is a world apart but I love both of them.
“I love Billy, I love Kyle … but Billy was great to get your teeth stuck into. It was nice to have a sort of challenge to play such a different character.”
In an ultimate melding of his two worlds, Macari features in a social media teaser for Sex Education, wearing a hoodie with the name “Billy” written across the front.
The Irregulars is streaming now on Netflix.
