Singer and YouTube sensation JoJo Siwa has split from her girlfriend Avery Cyrus after just three months of dating.
Cyrus, a 22-year-old content creator, revealed the breakup on TikTok after many fans asked whether she was still with the 19-year-old Dance Moms alum.
“We decided that we are better off as friends,” Cyrus replied in the comments section of her latest TikTok video, which featured the pair on holiday with friends. “We are both so young and still just trying to figure our stuff out.”

The breakup speculation came after Cyrus shared the clip of the couple onboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship en route to their tropical vacation to Coco Cay in the Bahamas.
And it was a comment made by Siwa in the video that caused many to wonder if the pair went their separate ways before their vacation or while on board the ship.
“This is my ‘Sorry for breaking up with you’ present,” Siwa could be heard telling Cyrus while on the cruise, which they enjoyed with a group of friends including dancer Nia Sioux and actor Garrett Clayton.

Siwa was first linked to Cyrus in August shortly after her split from girlfriend Kylie Prew, who she dated on and off for nine months.
One month later, the Boomerang singer debuted her relationship with Cyrus in a TikTok video of the new couple, which she captioned: “Happiest girl.”

The pair then went red-carpet official the following day when they attended the opening night of Alanis Morissette’s musical, Jagged Little Pill, in LA.
“We’re girlfriends now. I’m so happy you said yes. I knew you weren’t gonna say no, I was just nervous,” Cyrus gushed about Siwa in a vlog at the time, to which the singer replied: “I’d be insane if I said no, you’re the best girlfriend in the world.”
